April 20, 2023 – Three people have been arrested for the offence of Forgery and Uttering false documents.
This is in a case were the suspect identified as Samson Phiri aged 35 of George Compound in Lusaka approached the Lusaka District Health office in Lusaka and uttered a forged Staff Appointment letter in his names seeking employment as a general worker. The letter is purported to have been authored by Public Service Management Division (PSMD) on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia.
Two other suspects aged 27 and 33 who are alleged to have authored the same appointment letter were arrested in connection with the same offence.
They are all detained in Police custody.
