IDENTICAL twin sisters from South Africa’s Clarens, a small township in Eastern Free State, have expressed a desire to marry one man or, if possible, another set of identical twins simply because they shared the same womb at the same time.
Lebohang and Relebohile Mothopeletsi, the Sotho by tribe whose names mean “be thankful” and “we are thankful,” respectively, have done almost everything together to the point of wishing to be buried in the same grave.
The Mothopeletsi sisters, who were born on November 30, 2004, are the first twins in their family on both the maternal and paternal sides. They work as part-time models and public speakers while attending Bethlehem’s Ntsu Secondary School.
Their mother had no idea she was going to have twins. She was told during her pregnancy ultrasound that she had a small stain in her womb near the baby that they couldn’t tell what it was, only to give birth to identical twins.

“It was a surprise to her and her family because she already had two children who were not twins, and there had never been twins in our family history that we were aware of.” The sisters said.
Growing up, Lebohang and Relebohile had a close relationship; they always dressed alike, shared, and did almost everything together, to the point where they still do exactly the same thing, especially dressing up identically.
“We have never been separated; at our previous schools and our current school, we have always been in the same grades and classes, shared a desk, and studied the same subjects. We discovered five years ago that we have a tendency to be 1 mark or 1% off in our school tests and reports.” Lebohang, the elder twin, shared.
They claim to share the same emotions and pain because they are deeply emotionally connected, resulting in an intense sense of empathy strong enough to generate physical sensations, such as feeling pain when the other twin is in pain. They are also so familiar with one another that they can frequently predict how the other twin will speak or behave.

Despite the fact that twins in the same environment eventually pick up on each other’s personalities, however, the sisters share similar interests, goals, and dreams. They are so reliant on each other that it is uncommon to see them apart, owing to the fact that being separated stresses them out and makes them sick.
Finally, Lebohang and Relebohile want to attend the same tertiary institution, pursue the same medical course of study, or join the South African military.
