The Handball Association of Zambia has suspended all the coaches for the under 17 and 20 girls national teams.
Association President BWALYA BANDA says the decision follows Zambia’s disqualification from the just ended Zone 6 International Handball Federation-IHF Trophy tournament held in South Africa, on allegations of age cheating.
BANDA says although the Handball Association has appealed the decision, the technical benches for both the under 17 and 20 girls national teams have been suspended to pave the way for investigations.
He announced the decision last evening when he addressed the two teams shortly after they arrived from South Africa.
BANDA has however encouraged the girls to remain focused as the future is bright.
He has also expressed disappointment that the decision to disqualify Zambia was made without following laid down procedure.
Zambia was disqualified from the Zone 6 International Handball Federation-IHF Trophy tournament held in South Africa, after they qualified to the semi finals of the tournament.
