THE United Church of Zambia (UCZ) has dispelled a story making rounds on social media purporting that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has threatened to seize its Synod offices located at Plot Number 8 Mosi-oa-Tunya Road in Woodlands area.
UCZ administrative secretary Rodgers Ng’ambi said at no time has the church received ACC officers inquiring on the source of funding and donations received towards the construction of the Synod Headquarters.
“The purported story is therefore false and should be dismissed with the contempt it deserves. Further, the Church wishes to put it on record that at no point has there been a request from the ACC to have its books of accounts checked,” Mr Ng’ambi said.

He said the offices remain open to productive interactions between the Church and cooperating partners including the government.
“As the UCZ leadership, we would like to thank the members for their continued support towards the realization of the mandate of growing God’s kingdom on earth through the sacrifices they make,” Mr Ng’ambi said.
He assured members of the public that the church remains committed to spreading the Good News of Salvation to the Zambian people and all nations in fulfilment of Christ’s mission to the world.
