The United Party for National Development -UPND- has won the Kalwanyembe ward by-election in Mumbwa District of Central Province.

UPND’s CHEBO MULOWA polled 507 votes while his closest rival an Independent candidate DENNIS NKONDE got 180 votes.

FREDDIE MUKE of Socialist Party got 93 votes while MUNUNKA HELLEN of leadership movement polled 24 votes.

A total of 812 votes were cast out of which eight were rejected.
