Zambian USA-based artist OC has publicly declared his support for music icon Macky 2, encouraging Zambians to rally behind the rapper’s aspiration to become Member of Parliament for Nchanga Constituency in Chingola.
In a Facebook post, OC described Macky 2, whose real name is Mulaza Kaira, as a true leader and one of Zambia’s most influential figures, not only in music but also in community development and patriotism.
“I would like to take a moment to encourage everyone to support my brother Mulaza Kaira aka Macky 2 in his aspiration to become Member of Parliament for Nchanga,” OC wrote.
OC praised Macky 2 for being an essential part of Zambian communities and an icon in the country’s music history, stating that his leadership qualities have been evident long before his decision to enter politics.
He noted that beyond his musical achievements, Macky 2 has consistently shown commitment to uplifting others and inspiring young people through his platform.
“Macky 2 has been an essential part of our communities and a true icon in Zambian music history. Beyond his success in music, he has consistently shown leadership, patriotism, and a deep commitment to uplifting others,” OC stated.
OC further stressed that Macky 2’s move into politics should not be viewed as a personal ambition alone, but as an opportunity for the people of Nchanga to be represented by someone who understands their struggles and genuinely cares.
“This is a man who understands the people, has lived among the people, and has used his platform to inspire and empower many. His transition into leadership is not just a personal ambition, it is an opportunity for the community to be represented by someone who genuinely cares,” he wrote.
OC went on to encourage the public to support Macky 2’s political journey, adding that the future belongs to those willing to step forward and serve.
“I personally encourage members of the public to rally behind him and support his journey. Let’s give him the chance to serve, to lead, and to bring meaningful development to the people of Nchanga/Chingola,” OC added.
