The national broadcaster, ZNBC is tapping back into it’s once upon a time human resource by bringing back veterans newscasters on both radio and television.
In a move seen to revive people’s memories of the yesteryears anchors on both radio and TV, ZNBC has dedicated the month of October, 2024 for its main news bulletins to it’s former employees on weekends only.
The gesture is also part of the corporation’s 60th birthday celebrations for Zambia with the country having it’s independence day on October 24th.
Viewers and listeners will during the month of October expected to see and listen to the likes of Doris Mulenga, Rosemary Konkola, Margaret Phiri and Herbert Mutabi among others, and thereby rekindling decades of memories when the veterans were celebrities at the public service broadcaster for both radio and TV.
