MOVEMENT for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) leader Nevers Mumba says voting out UPND in 2026 could be disaster because the New Dawn government has now set foundation for a turnaround in the country’s economic fortunes.
Dr Mumba said during an appearance on Frank Mutubila’s Big Debate programme on Prime TV that the duty of the people in power now is to tell Zambians how households’ economies will improve.
The former Vice-President said the UPND government has taken right options in re-vitalising the economy.
“Let’s not flow with the opposition cheap talk because they do not have an agenda for Zambians,” he said.
“Let us tell Zambians how we will reduce the high cost of living, let us not leave room for misinformation and lies. The 2026 elections will be factored on household economics.”
