FOUR years ago, singer, Yo Maps was seen dancing to the hit Alebwelelapo PF campaign in which he swore that former president Edgar Lungu was the chosen leader for Zambia, stating that no one among the opposition including President Hakainde Hichilema stood a chance at the general election.

Shockingly, to his fans and the political space in the country, Yo boy has changed colours faster than a chameleon, from green to red.

In his latest song, released about 16 hours ago, the artiste while draped in UPND colours and posing on a red bus, is seen almost replacing Chellah Tukuta as the chief praise singer, begging the nation to vote for President Hichilema next year.

The campaign music video also shows clips of the Head of State in his various engagements with citizens.

He sings: “it’s high time opposition leaders concentrated on farming rather than politics so they can contribute to the current bumper harvest.”

Yo Maps says the opposition stands no chance of winning the 2026 general election as President Hichilema is the boss.

“Abashala bonse chingelengele. Opposition ku farm, bakalime bakalete mataba. HH ni boss, abashala bonse nibangwele, uno mwaka tulewina. Hakainde aleteka, aleteka. Ndekweba aleteka, ifwe ni low, low (the opposition should go to the farm and bring us maize. President Hichilema is the boss.),” he sings.

He also urges the nation to unite in the spirit of One Zambia, One Nation and vote for President Hichilema.

The artiste also sings that patience is needed for the remaining months as the President is still doing wonders.

“Twikatane elo tubombeshefye, tubombele pamo ifwe. Patience imwe, bally afika alekontolola.Twikatane, tubombeshefye pamo, bonse ifwe, patience, ndaba ni one Zambia, one nation. Low, low, (let us unite by voting for President Hichilema and let us work hard. We just need to be patient with him.),” Yo Maps’ sang.
