ZAMBIA RECOGNISED AS AFRICA’S MOST VIBRANT TOURISM DESTINATION 2025

Zambia has been awarded Africa’s Most Vibrant Tourism Destination 2025 at the inaugural African Impact Awards, hosted by African Community Magazine in Stockholm on 15th November 2025. This prestigious recognition affirms Zambia’s exceptional natural resources, rich cultural heritage, and the significant progress the country continues to make in promoting sustainable tourism.

The award was received by Her Excellency Gladys Neven Lundwe, Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the Kingdom of Sweden. In her acceptance speech, the Ambassador noted that the honour was jointly presented to Zambia and Zimbabwe, acknowledging the shared heritage of the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. She described the Victoria Falls as one of the most spectacular waterfalls on earth, magnificently located on the border between the two countries.

Ambassador Lundwe further highlighted that from the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls to Zambia’s pristine national parks home to diverse wildlife sanctuaries, walking safaris, game drives, bird viewing, mammal migrations and professional hunting Zambia offers experiences that are both unforgettable and authentically African.

She emphasised that the warm and welcoming nature of the Zambian people, combined with their commitment to safeguarding the environment and cultural heritage, makes Zambia not only a destination to visit, but a destination to cherish.

She added that the award reflects the collective efforts of the Zambian Government, local communities, tourism operators and all Zambians who work tirelessly to make the country shine on the global stage. The recognition has been received with gratitude and renewed dedication to elevating Zambia’s tourism sector in the global village.

Zambia looks forward to welcoming the world to explore, enjoy and experience the vibrant spirit of Zambia The Real Africa.
