Economist Kelvin Chisanga says sustaining Zambia’s soft landing will be vital for long‑term growth.

He explained that this is because climate risks and copper dependence continue to pose challenges to stability.

Chisanga observed that falling inflation and exchange rate steadiness have already boosted business confidence.

He noted that fiscal consolidation has lowered macroeconomic risk, improving investor sentiment and external resilience.

Chisanga emphasised that policy consistency and revenue mobilisation remain central to turning stabilisation into inclusive expansion.

He remarked that productivity growth and diversification reforms will determine whether Zambia’s economy can avoid stagnation.

Chisanga underlined that debt servicing obligations require disciplined management to safeguard the country’s fiscal health.

He stressed that Zambia’s transition from crisis management to structural strengthening signals a credible path forward.
