Zambian Boxer Patrick Chinyemba made his appearance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games where he faced his opponent Amit Amit of India in the 51kg.
Known for his sizzling punches which makes his opponents dazzled when in the ring the boxer did manage to put up a good performance by throwing amazing punches in the round of 16.
Chinyemba won the fight by split decision 4-1.
He becomes the first Zambian athlete to record a win at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This is the second time Chinyemba is appearing at the Olympic Games the first one being the Tokyo 2020.
He says the target is to reach the final and mint Zambia’s first Gold medal at the Olympic Games.
Chinyemba adds that the judges were very fair in declaring him the winner of the bout which left his opponent he once faced during the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games shocked by his punches.
In all three rounds, Chinyemba dominated the fight which left spectators in the sports arena cheering his name.
