INSTEAD of utilising his energy to look for work to earn ends meet, an Unemployed 40-year old man of Luanshya on the Copperbelt used his vigour to deflower a 31-year old mentally challenged woman.
Jester Kasolo, allegedly def!led by Douglas Simukonda on December 2 after she was sent on an errand by her mother Petronela Mwape, 56 within Roan Township where they all reside.
It is reported that after Mwape sent Kasolo to buy cooking oil, 200 meters away from the house, worry and anxiety hit her because her daughter did not show up untill following morning at 07:00 hours.
When asked where she spent the night, the Mentally unsound lady told Mwape that she was taken by a man she only knew facially.
Then the mother together with the victim went to report the matter to the police where they were assisted and escorted to Roan General Hospital for tests.
However, as they were on their way to the hospital, the victim saw the suspect, Simukonda and informed her brother who had also accompanied them to the hospital.
Simukonda was apprehended and the scene of crime visited.
According to Police, a docket of defilement of an embecile has been opened as investigations continue.
