Renowned Zambian Dj Tony the Rolakosta is dismayed that a number of Zambian artists failed to go and pay their last respects to veteran mic Dj Links in the mix who died.
In his facebook post seen by ZED GOSSIP, Tony says Djs in Zambia are not happy at the low turn out of musicians especially those who are based in Lusaka and failed to attend the burial of Links.
“As Zambian Djs, we are very dissapointed with your low turnout at the funeral of one of Zambia’s promoters of your music on radio as well as clubs. LINX did so much for you guys, you heard about his funeral but most of you just decided to ignore it. We are not complaining because with or without you the funeral was well organised and we took care of everything. The problem here is the pretence you portray when bringing your music for airplay, the brotherly words you use and all kanshi u just want to be played” part of the post read.
He added that “This is not good and to tell you the truth, all Djs are not happy with what happened but on the other hand, we would like to appreciate the few musicians that came through to support us. LINX used to mix your music for so many hours nonstop on radio/Clubs and this is the thanks he gets.
This just tells us how much you don’t appreciate what Djs do for you and to make it worse some musician goes on social media to say Zambian Djs are jealous of musicians because they are successful…. But kwena zoona.
Some of you have become big headed and it’s not good for your career.
I end here!#RestInPeaceLinx”.
