AS the battle for the PF rages on, party president Miles Sampa has restricted access to party headquarters in Lusaka saying only authorised members will be allowed in.
In a notice to all PF members, Sampa said; “All non-members or former members of the party are not permitted to enter or be within the precincts of the secretariat”.

“Any group visits will need to have prior authorization from our Secretary General
(SG) Mr. Morgan Ng’ona. Individual PF Members of Parliament are free to visit the secretariat at any time,” he said.
For people wishing to join the party, Sampa they should visit their nearest PF offices in the wards or constituencies.
“All members with criminal offenses in the courts of law are also encouraged to
take a back row from the secretariat until their cases are determined. While they are indeed innocent until proven guilty, it is vital that our party name is protected from entanglement with personal or individual criminal matters in court,” Sampa stated.
The Matero member of parliament has also banned the “Akawawa” slogan which was chanted by PF commanders before assaulting citizens.
Sampa said the PF had finally began the long-awaited rebranding after the party’s loss of power two years ago.
Sampa noted that it had been widely agreed that the PF lost power because of violence despite scoring massive infrastructure development.
Sampa pointed out that unruly party cadres terrorised innocent ordinary people, businessmen and even the police.
He said the PF cadres were the law to themselves and always got away with the criminal activities.
“Our reborn PF will not condone any of our members who conduct themselves in unruly and violent manner. Hooliganism amongst our members or towards non-members and the general public is banned henceforth,” he said.
Sampa said PF members had a duty to show citizens that they had reformed and that was the only route to regain public confidence.
“Consequently and with immediate effect; 1. The slogan ‘ Akawawawa’ is henceforth banned at all PF gatherings,” he said.
Sampa also said party youths will no longer perform security duties at the party headquarters as a private security firm will be engaged.
