A 43-year-old Witch Doctor from Kalomo District has been arrested for defiling a 17-year-old girl in the presence of his wife and their two-month-old child.
Shyvin Muchinga raped the victim who sustained a painful private part between 23:00 hours on Friday and 01:00 hours Saturday in his house.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, tells Byta FM Zambia News that the victim had early this month been escorted by her mother to the Witch Doctor because she was seeing a dead person in her dreams.

Daka narrates that when they reached, the Witch Doctor informed them that someone was having sex with the victim in her dreams and she needed to be cleansed.
He explains that after a few days, the mother of the victim left, leaving her behind with her aunt at the Witch Doctor’ place.
Daka discloses that on the material day, the victim slept on the chair in the same room the Witch Doctor rested with his wife and their baby on the bed, with the suspect later instructing the girl to sleep in the middle and in the process had sex with her.
The Commissioner adds that Police visited the crime scene and discovered a Star 9 Millimeter Pistol with two empty magazines found under his mattress.
