PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has expressed concern over an observed growing cultural trend of laziness across the country.
Speaking when addressing Parliament on the Progress made in the implementation of National Values and Morals, Friday morning, Hichilema said laziness is a threat to the economic reconstruction agenda of Zambia.
The Head of State added that in order to promote morality, human dignity, good sanitation as well as uphold good governance, there is need for cooperation and hard work among the citizenry.
Reacting to the President’s sentiments, Mazabuka Resident, Andrew Hakaluba, has commended Hichilema for emphasizing the need to eradicate laziness across the nation.
Hakaluba says the reminder is timely considering the economic trying moment the country is experiencing.
