Award-winning Zimbabwean journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has sparked an interesting debate about the reunification of Zimbabwe with Zambia and Malawi.

On a Twitter-based poll, Chin’ono asked Zimbabweans whom they would like to be led by in the event of reunification.

Ninety (90) percent of them voted for Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, Seven (7) percent for Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and only Three (3) percent for Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera.
Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi were once led by one leader, Roy Welensky.

They were known as The Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, also known as the Central African Federation.
