A 13-year-old girl has died after she was bitten by 10 dogs as she was going to use a toilet which is outside the house around 05:00 hours Wednesday.

Police visited the scene and discovered the dead body of the girl lying on the ground with multiple dog bites all over the body.

The dogs belong to a male Chinese national identified as Shi Yaming, the Director of Kingo Farms.

The victim’s father Allan Banda, 43, a poultry man at Kingo Farms told police that his daughter was bitten and died on the spot as she sustained deep cuts all over her body.

Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga tells Byta FM News that Yaming has been detained for the offence of reckless and negligent act.

He says arrangements have been made with veterinary officers to go and examine the dogs so as to determine their fate.
