14-year-old boy crushed to death

(ZANIS) A 14 -year- old pupil at Simaundu Primary School in Chirundu District, GEORGE SIACHALINGA, has died after a concrete makeshift musical stage collapsed on him while playing with his friends.

Confirming the incident to ZANIS, cousin to the deceased, ADMIRAL MUNSANJE said GEORGE was playing a ‘hide and seek’ game with four other friends when the accident occurred.

ZANIS reports that the deceased’s friends were pulled out of the debris with bruises without knowing that GEORGE was buried under, until the discovery of his body by passers-by.

Police officers from Chirundu Police Station have since deposited the body to Mtendere Mission General Hospital Mortuary.
