In a society where family values seem to be losing meaning, an upcoming artist says it is never too late to do what is right.

Vincent Mukuka alias Uncle Vin has since released a song TWISHIBANINA PAMALILO in an effort to restore lost family values among Zambians.

Released in the first week of May, 2024, Twishibanani Pamalilo basically talks about the need for people to move away from knowing one’s relatives only when a funeral occurs, and further advises listeners to instead promote family unity.

Produced at M- Records studios in Lusaka’s PHI under the mastered hands of DJ Vow, featuring talented rapper Young Bupe (Gift Chilanga), Twishibanani Pamalilo is set to hit the airwaves differently as can be projected by Mukuka in an interview.

“I was motivated to write this song based on real life experiences where I got to discover and knew most of my relatives only when there is a family funeral.

I found this trend strange and abnormal because I really do not think families should only get to know each other during funerals”.

The artist who started music in 2009 called on Zambians to have a change of mindset towards a family set – up.

He says it’s unfortunate that families only wants to get together during sad moments, habits he attributes to lost love and care among families.

“Having lost my uncle and grandfather – two funerals where I got to know most of relatives got me thinking about all this and I thought the best way of communicating this message was through music.

I want people to understand and remind them the importance of unity and family values”.

The artist whose song being the first as he embarks on a music career emphasized the need for family unity.

“Let us not wait for one to die in order for us to meet and begin introducing who is who, but let’s adopt a culture of getting together, and by so doing, we will be strengthening our bonds as families”.

Mukuka is hopeful that his music and particularly this song TWISHIBANINA PAMALILO will have positive impacts on families, words echoed by Chilanga alias Young Bupe.

Chilanga says he decided to collaborate with Mukuka on the song due to the message.

“He wrote the concept that touched me so much because it talks about reality. I did the verses in the song and they speaks the truth of what is happening in families,” Chilanga said.

“If we continue on this path in families, don’t be shocked when we begin hearing stories of people marrying their own sisters because they didn’t know they were related. This song is on point and my prayer is that it reaches someone out there in a positive way,” he added.

Meanwhile, the duo has appealed for platforms for the song whose video should be out in the next coming weeks.
