Kalumbila, 26th March 2026 – The family of the late Eneless Hellen Kamutumbe is calling on the government to intervene following tensions over her burial. The 46-year-old mother of six was buried in her village in Kalumbila, but some relatives claim the burial was rushed and suspicious.

According to a video shared by Prime Television, one of Hellen Kamutumbe’s sisters is demanding that her body be exhumed. She alleged that several village relatives were involved in her sister’s brutal murder.

“What hurts me the most is that my sister has been buried in the village at night. Why have they rushed, what have they planned over my sister’s body?” the sister asked.
“There’s a plan they laid out. And what I have seen is that they were a party to the murder of my sister.”

She pleaded with the government to take action, saying many involved in her sister’s death remain unpunished.

“Government, I beg of you. A lot of people are part of those that have eaten my sister. She said I should not be buried at the village because we were chased from the village. Mr. President, please, help us exhume our sister and arrest those who buried her,” she cried.

The family’s call has sparked widespread debate online, raising questions about justice, family disputes, and community accountability. Authorities are yet to respond to the pleas for exhumation and investigation.
