The opposition Citizens First (CF) party says it is delighted to see unity emerging in the opposition, which reflects the cry of ordinary Zambians.

CF Media Committee Member Bangwe Naviley says CF President Harry Kalaba has consistently called for unity in the opposition to form a formidable political force capable of facing UPND as a united front in the 2026 general election.

Bangwe added that CF is confident more unity will emerge sooner rather than later.

He noted that through the CF Orange Alliance, more parties have joined together in the name of unity to free Zambians from the high cost of living.

The CF Orange Alliance now includes Citizens First (CF), National Democratic Congress (NDC), Revamp for Development Change (RDC), New Labour Party (NLP), Economic Freedom Party (EPP), and People’s Alliance for Sustainable Solutions (PASS).

Bangwe pointed out that CF remains open to unity, which is why there is no running mate so far, allowing room to accommodate the interests of others.

He stressed that CF has consistently taken the lead in calling for unity, setting the tone for collective progress and inspiring others to embrace cooperation as the foundation of success.

Bangwe highlighted that this steadfast commitment has reinforced the importance of working together and created an environment in which collaboration can thrive.

He mentioned that CF is especially pleased to see Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu responding to this leadership by joining forces in a spirit of partnership.

Bangwe observed that such teamwork is a tangible example of CF’s vision in action, showing how unity translates into practical achievements.

He explained that the synergy demonstrates that when individuals align under a shared call for togetherness, the results are stronger, more impactful, and enduring.

Bangwe affirmed that CF will continue to champion unity and is confident that this spirit of solidarity will carry them forward into a future defined by cohesion, progress, and shared success.
