FAMILY SLAVERY HITS AFRICAN MAGIC

Unstoppable Australia based Zambian film maker and actress Matildah Muchindu’s film family slavery hits the big screen, earning her a top spot as one of Zambia’s internationally acclaimed film makers.

Muchindu’s 2018 film with an all-star cast is currently being showcased on African Magic Epic HD channel 152, making it her very first film to be aired on the continent’s biggest channel dedicated to celebrating African film talent.

The film maker penetrated the Nollywood film industry with this production, which is inspired by true events,she tells her story as an abused wife and mother, and eventually her great escape. On this project she got an opportunity of a life-time sharing the spotlight alongside Naija’s finest stars Patience Ozokwor, Brown Igboegwu, and Oge Okoye.

Muchindu alias Maddie Mitchell has continued on her path of success taking the Zambian film industry to greater heights through the production of top notch movies under her production house Happy Maddison.

Her other most notable film productions include, What Kept Me Going and Scars of the A Mother.

Muchindu’s talent has received international recognition after she was recently awarded at the African Film Festival held in Dallas, Taxes for a short film she produced called The Stand, and her other film What Kept Me Going earned her an award at the Peoples Film Festival in New York.

The awards are an indication that the trailblazer has immensely contributed towards the growth of the African film industry.
