‘BLACK FISH‘ ARRESTED WHILE ASSAULTING MAN

A suspected leader of a notorious gang which has been causing havoc around Shadrecks Traffic Lights in Lusaka’s Matero Township has been arrested by Police after he was found assaulting a man in the area.

The 28-year-old man infamously known as “Black Fish” has been identified as Gift Banda.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale, notes that the suspect was apprehended after beating a 33-year-old man who sustained a swollen forehead, cuts on the lips and was profusely bleeding from the nose.

Mwale explains that Police Officers, while on patrol in Lusaka’s on May 5, 2024, around 11:00 hours, found a mob near Shadrecks Bridge and later discovered that someone was being beaten while people were watching.

He says upon seeing Police presence, the suspect ran away but Officers gave chase and managed to apprehend him, with the victim rushed to the Hospital where he is currently admitted.

By broadcast time, Mwale noted that Officers are yet to establish the reason behind the assault of the 33-year-old man.
