*CHIEF MAILO WARNS AGAINST EARLY MARRIAGES, UNPRESCRIBED BUSH FIRES*

Chief Mailo Chikumba, Sunday Miselo, of the Lala people of Serenje District, Central Province, says parents in his Chiefdom should immediately stop early marriages.

The Traditional Leader says parents must take advantage of the Free Education Policy by Government to advance the future of their children.

He said he would go round the Chiefdom to ensure that Social Cash Transfer is received by rightful beneficiaries and assess the impact it is bringing. 

Chief Mailo further informed subjects that no unprescribed bush burning will be entertained in the Chiefdom because of the negative impact on ecosystems and biological diversity. 

The Traditional Leader added that subjects needed to step up efforts to reduce on malaria cases in the chiefdom and to work on bleeding sites for mosquitoes.

This came to light during the burial of Frazer Chilekwa Chanda, 23, of Chief Mailo who died in a road traffic accident at Mukando turn off along the Great North Road in Serenje.
