Current UPND Chakunkula ward 37 councillor Chimuka Njoomon has declared his intention to recontest the seat in the 13 August 2026 general election.
Njoomona said he will run under the ruling UPND and is awaiting the party’s adoption process.
“I have accepted to stand as Chakunkula Ward 37 councillor under the mighty UPND ruling party. Awaiting the adoption process,” Njoomonsaid.
Chakunkula Ward 37 is in Munali Constituency, Lusaka District.
The UPND is expected to conclude local government adoptions ahead of the 2026 polls.
