Independent Parliamentary aspirant Captain Towani Chipeta has voiced concern over the state of the Munyukwa–Emusa road in Chasefu District.

She expressed that the road has become impassable, cutting off communities from vital services.

Chipeta explained that the situation has worsened during the rainy season, leaving vehicles unable to pass.

She highlighted that farmers are unable to transport their produce to markets, causing economic strain.

Chipeta stressed that schoolchildren are forced to walk long distances through mud and water.

She observed that health workers are struggling to reach patients in remote villages.

Chipeta described the road as a lifeline that has now been severed.

She urged government intervention to rehabilitate the route.

The matter was highlighted by Kanele 97.7 FM, which reported on the plight of affected communities in Chasefu District, Eastern Province.

Chipeta emphasised that Chasefu deserves better infrastructure to ensure development and dignity for its people.
