CHRISANTOUS CHANGWEREZA FILES NOMINATION FOR MAKENI SEAT AS INDEPENDENT

…pledges to tackle floods and improve service delivery

Chrisantous Changwereza has filed his nomination credentials as an independent parliamentary candidate for the newly created Makeni Constituency.

Changwereza completed the process at Buying School in Makeni this afternoon.

Speaking to supporters after filing, he pledged to transform Makeni and make addressing perennial flooding a priority.

Changwereza said he would work with the business community and residents to build a better constituency.

“Traders, taxi drivers and other businesses will not be harassed under my leadership as Makeni MP,” Changwereza said.

Changwereza also called on residents to join his team in developing the new constituency, arguing that Makeni could only be developed by locals themselves.

“We will ensure that CDF is utilized fully and ensure that we have a hospital, secondary school and other social amenities for our people. This will happen under my leadership,” he declared.
