Residents of Chunga and SOS areas in Lusaka have closed all roads leading to the Chunga dump site, protesting that the huge landfill be closed, for it is full.

They say refuse trucks are now dumping on the road passing near the dump site and that the foul smell from the site is tormenting them day and night.

Police have arrived to quell the peaceful protest, but protesters are demanding to stop only when Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Gary Nkombo addresses them.
