TWO yet to be named suspects aged 38 and 39 have been arrested in connection with aggravated robbery in which six criminals hacked a Security Officer of a named company along Lusaka’s Mumbwa Road.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale, notes that the vandals, armed with machetes, broke into the company premises on 23rd October, 2023 around 01:00 AM, tying the guard in the process.

Mwale explains that the suspects allegedly broke into one of the Director’s offices and blew up the money safe and went away with 21,000 US dollars, K133, 623 and scanners valued at K37, 500.

He says Police Officers were alerted and rushed to the scene where the guard, Julius Sinkala aged 55, was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple cuts on his body, with his hands and legs tied.

Mwale says Sinkala was rushed to the hospital where he is admitted, adding that preliminary investigations indicate that the criminals entered and exited the building through the bathroom window.
