CRIMINALS BREAK IN, RAPÉ MONZE RESIDENT

MONZE Police Station has received a report of Rape, Burglary and Theft in which a 34 year old woman of Fairview Compound reported that two unknown male persons broke into her house and took turns in raping her and later stole her HP Laptop valued at K6, 000.

Southern Province Police Commissioner Auxansio Daka tells Byta FM that the incident happened on the 11th of February at 03:00 hours.

Daka reveals that the victim knocked off from work the previous day around 17:00 hours from and went back home to rest.

He further reveals that the victim woke up at around 01:00 Hours to do her online meetings and studies on her Laptop and later at around 03:00 Hours the victim saw her bedroom door being opened by someone she did not identify who ordered her not to scream or else she risked being killéd.

Daka further discloses that the burglar then forced himself on the victim and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her and a few seconds later his accomplice went in and also rapéd her.

He says the accomplices stole the HP laptop black in colour and fled the scene.

Daka reveals that no arrest or recovery has been made as investigations are ongoing.
