A man of Kazungula has burnt his 22-year-old son’s thatched house after he was not given relish.

Southern Province police commanding officer Auxensio Daka said Milimo Simasiku is suspected to have burnt Luka Simasiku’s hut on Sunday night.

He said instead of relish, Mr Simasiku offered his father fresh milk, which incensed him.

Mr Daka said while in the house, Mr Simasiku heard the father complaining to his wife that she was delaying and moments later the hut started burning.

However, Mr Simasiku managed to rescue his family from the thatched house before it was reduced to ashes.
