FOLLOWING their graduation this month with Bachelor of Pharmacy degrees from one of the top universities in India, identical twin sisters from Zambia have both entered the pharmacy profession.

Charity and Peddy Muleya from the Kalomo District of the southern province have been doing almost everything together ever since they were born. They share almost everything, have always been in the same class, and are very close.

It was actually the twins’ childhood ambition to enroll in a health-related program; they have now begun a new chapter in their journey to becoming pharmacists. They have both thoroughly enjoyed their studies in India.

The soft-spoken twins attended Macha Girls Secondary School in Choma, where they both participated in football for their final three years of secondary education before leaving for India to pursue their aspirations.

It is unusual for a set of twins to attend the same university and receive degrees from both of them. Overall, however, the two agree that studying with someone so close to them has been a good experience.
