He died on Monday after initially breaking his arm, which led to severe bleeding.
Mr Daka said according to relatives, during the wedding ceremony, Sheleni took a lot of alcohol, became drunk and picked a quarrel with another relative only identified as Nyambe.
“As they were about to start exchanging punches, other relatives who were sober stopped them,” he said.
“However, within a few minutes, the now deceased again started positioning himself to fight the same Nyambe and others, but as he was trying to unleash a kick, he lost balance and fell.”
Mr Daka said Sheleni broke his left arm and sustained an open wound, which led to bleeding.
He said the relatives immediately tied a tourniquet around the wound and rushed him to Itezhi-Tezhi Hospital while he was still heavily bleeding.
However, he died before reaching the hospital.
“Police visited the hospital and observed that his left arm had been broken and blood was still coming out.
Apart from that injury, his other body parts were intact,” Mr Daka said.
