Farmer in disbelief after cattle thieves return his 35 stolen cattle
A cattleman from Namwala is a happy man after seven cattle thieves returned his 35 cattle which were stolen in June at his home.
Juunza McMillan who was on his daily duties at his farm was shocked after the thieves returned his cattle which he had been searching for almost a whole month.
Juunza said that he had kept his herd of cattle in a grazing field during the day but the thieves took away the 35 cattle.
“It was a daylight theft. I have about 87 cattle. The thieves took away the 35 cattle.” Juunza said.

He said that since he had heard several cases of cattle theft he took a stern action which would compel the thieves to return the cattle.
“It is painful. Raising an animal takes patience and in the event a thief takes it away in a single day.” Irate Juunza said.
He said that he sought services of Doctor Mawanda after efforts by the relevant authorities bore no fruits.
“I reported the matter to the police three weeks ago. They kept on telling me that they were in pursuit of the matter but nothing came forth.” He said.
He said Doctor Mawanda’s services bore fruits in a span of two days.
“I visited Doctor Mawanda two days ago. The thieves have now returned my cattle.” he said.
Juunza said that the thieves asked for forgiveness after they told him that after stealing the cattle they transported them to market places where they are bought.
