Kenyan pastor Elizabeth Githinji, who had a past relationship with singer Mirugi Dishon, was found dead in his wardrobe on March 18, 2023. Githinji went to visit Dishon in Kahawa West to resolve some issues, but allegedly ended up being murdered while there.

According to reports, Githinji had sent a text message to a family member just before her death, lamenting that Dishon was threatening to kill her.

After an investigation, Dishon claimed that he left his home for an errand shortly after Githinji visited, and upon returning, he found her dead with a bedsheet around her neck.

A whistleblower named Simon Mwangi Muthiora claimed that Githinji had written to her sister about Dishon allegedly trying to kill her on that fateful day.
