Gift Kapembwa Arrives in Lusaka to Honour K100,000 Nomination Pledge for President Hichilema

Copperbelt-based youth leader Gift Kapembwa has arrived in Lusaka ahead of the presidential nomination process, where he is expected to fulfil his pledge of contributing K100,000 towards the nomination fee for President Hakainde Hichilema.

Kapembwa’s arrival has sparked growing public attention, with many Zambians praising the move as a rare show of youth-driven political commitment and loyalty to the ruling party leadership.

Speaking shortly after arriving in Lusaka, Mr. Kapembwa said his pledge has gained widespread support from members of the public, with many offering solidarity and encouragement.

He stressed that the gesture is not only meant to support the nomination process, but also to represent belief in a leadership that he believes is focused on delivering national development.

“This is not just about the money, but about demonstrating commitment to leadership that is focused on delivering for the people,” Kapembwa said.
