GRADUATE COMMITS SUICIDE OVER DEBT OF K14,000

A twenty-six old graduate of Lusaka’s Garden House area has committed suicide after failing to pay a debt of K14,000 he invested in a chicken run business.

S24’s Malikana Mulele who visited the crime scene reports that the deceased Lewis Mukuni borrowed the money from many people but the business did not generate enough capital to offset the debt.

His cousin Denwid Mapulanga narrated that the family promised to assist him settle the debt when he explained to them the state of his business but before money could be mobilized the deceased disappeared on Sunday this week before throwing himself in a well.

The family discovered voice notes on his phone where he apologized for taking his own.
