Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) has unveiled a new jersey for the women’s national team scheduled to travel to Conakry, Guinea for the Africa Junior Women Team Championship, slated between 17-27 February 2022.

The Championship will be used as qualifiers for the World Cup to be staged in Serbia in 2023.

Zambia’s women’s team has so far been drawn in Group A and will face Egypt, Angola and Bukinafso.

Unveiling the jersey on 16 January 2022 at OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre where the girls have been training from and witnessed by Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts permanent secretary Pastor Kangwa Chileshe, Association president Victor Banda said the girls are ready for the championship.

Banda disclosed that his association is confident that the girls will perform well in Guinea and be among the top four teams to qualify for the world cup.
