SHAOLIN TEMPLE NOT HERE TO UNDERMINE ZAMBIAN CULTURE

The Chinese community has responded to social media comments, insinuating that the recently opened Shaolin Temple is in conflict with the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation.

When S24 first aired the story of the establishment of the temple in the country, some of our viewers speculated that the Shaolin Temple was there to influence Zambians to abandon their own cultural values and adopt the Chinese way of life.

In a follow up interview by our roving reporter, Tito Kalama, Shaolin Temple Zambia overall Master Yan Lun explained that the temple has not been built with the aim of interfering with religions in Zambia but to make youths discover their talent through Kungfu and Chinese culture.
