UPND loyalist Joe Muchindu, says President Hakainde Hichilema has silenced his critics and proven that he is a statesman of rare quality who came to fix Zambia, not to play politics.
Muchindu said while others preached inclusion for years, it took President Hichilema to actually deliver it through the amended Constitution that has now created five guaranteed seats for Persons with Disabilities, plus representation for women and youth under the Proportional Representation (PR) system in Parliament and local councils.
“For decades, Persons with Disabilities were only remembered during campaigns to clap for politicians. President Hakainde Hichilema has ended that insult. He has given them seats where decisions are made. He has given them power, not pity. That is leadership with a conscience,” Muchindu said.

Muchindu said the Head of State’s reforms are historic and irreversible.
“Bally has re-written the Zambian story from exclusion to inclusion, from division to unity, from cadreism to the rule of law. This is transformational leadership,” he charged.
He said President Hichilema’s message of “One Zambia, One Nation” is not a slogan, but a lived reality under UPND.
“When President Hichilema says leave no one behind, he means it. Persons with Disabilities, the youth who were called useless, the women who were marginalized, today they are at the table. This is the New Dawn in action,” Muchindu said.
Muchindu added that those who doubted President Hichilema’s capacity are now witnesses to economic stability, increased CDF that is changing communities, free education that has taken over 2 million children back to school, and Zambia’s restored international respect.
He called on UPND members and all well-meaning Zambians to defend the President’s legacy of peace and unity against merchants of hate and tribalism.
“Let us not be distracted by noise makers who thrive on tribalism and bitterness. President Hichilema is focused on building a Zambia that will be proud for generations. Our job as UPND members is to stand with him, explain his vision to the people, and protect this peace he has restored,” Muchindu added.
