Jere donates to Matero School

Lawyer Dickson Jere donated School desks to Tiyende Pamodzi School in Matero after he was alerted of pupils learning on the floor.
Jere responded to the distress call and donated over 20 desks to take care of the grade 1 and 2 classrooms.
“I managed to get some of the second hand desks for the kids but I didn’t realise that the problem is even bigger. So i need for get back and get more desks,” Jere told the pupils when he visited the school today to handover the desks.

However, Jere was shocked when he discovered that the entire school from grade 1 to 12 have no desks and pupils are bringing chairs and blocks from home to sit on.

Tiyende Pamodzi School, which is government owned, was opened in 2012.
