UPND Kafue East Constituency Youth Chairperson John Mikaya has urged party members to remain united and accept the outcome of the upcoming adoption process ahead of the 2026 General Elections.

Mikaya, also a former Shimabala Ward Councillor and aspiring candidate for the ward, said it was critical for members to remain peaceful, disciplined, and loyal to the party during and after the process.

He called on all prospective candidates and their supporters to back whoever is adopted and to keep working toward the UPND’s success.

“The UPND is strong because its members are united and have worked hard to bring development to the people under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema,” Mikaya said.

“If the UPND does not adopt you, this should not make us fight. We need to think about what is best for everyone, which is making sure President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND continue the development agenda for the next five years,” he added.

Mikaya said every member had a role to play in mobilising support for the party and pledged to continue working to strengthen the UPND in Kafue Constituency.
