Citizens First (CF) party President Harry Kalaba has called for answers following the k!lling of former Minister of Transport and Communications Mutotwe Kafwaya by government forces.
Mr Kalaba expressed profound sadness over the tragic passing of Mr Kafwaya.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and all Zambians mourning the loss.
Mr Kalaba raised serious questions and concerns regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.
He called upon authorities to provide a clear and transparent account of the events.
Mr Kalaba demanded to know who authorised the operation and what rules of engagement were applied.
He questioned why lethal force was used in the incident.
Mr Kalaba also asked why the nation was deliberately misled in the immediate aftermath of the k!lling.
He observed that domestic accountability mechanisms appeared to have failed.
Mr Kalaba called for the matter to be reported to the International Criminal Court.
He affirmed that the family and the Zambian people deserve clear answers and justice.
