Football administrator and National Patron for the Boys’ Brigade, Andrew Kamanga, has urged congregants to embrace unity within the church.

He was speaking in Chilanga District at the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Tubalange Congregation under the UCZ Lusaka Presbytery, Lusaka West Consistory, during the reception of Rev. Hellen Mwenya Chisanga, who was warmly welcomed as she officially assumed her pastoral role.

The reception was held under the theme “Changing the Narrative” drawn from Isaiah 43:19.

Kamanga said the strength of any congregation lies in harmony and shared purpose. He stressed that differences should be approached with understanding and reconciliation.

He further emphasised that leadership must reflect humility, compassion, and vision, adding that the congregation should support their Reverend through prayer, encouragement, and cooperation.

Kamanga explained that ministry is demanding and requires teamwork and faith, noting that unity allows the church to flourish and grow.

Earlier, Tubalange’s new minister, Rev. Hellen Mwenya Chisanga, revealed that she resigned from her teaching profession to dedicate herself fully to God’s work.

Rev. Chisanga appealed for support in advancing the will of God.

In a homily derived from Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 under the theme “Together We Are Strong”, Officiating Minister Rev. Dr. Kapembwa Kondolo stressed the importance of partnerships, companionship, and teamwork as vital strengths in the lives of individuals.
