Zambian gospel singer Kings Malembe Malembe has publicly thrown his support behind President Hakainde Hichilema, describing claims that the Head of State is divisive as false.
In a video clip shared by ZNBC, Kings Malembe Malembe was seen speaking in defence of President Hichilema while highlighting how his family has benefited since the UPND formed government.
“My wife and my sisters started working after UPND formed government. So those who claim that President Hakainde Hichilema is divisive are lying,” the gospel artiste said.
Kings, who was previously known during the Patriotic Front era as the “son of the house,” went further to openly campaign for President Hichilema to secure another term. He insisted that the President should be given another five years to continue leading the country.
“President HH must win the elections and continue leading for another 5 years,” he added.
The comments have since sparked debate online, with many Zambians reacting to the artist’s political endorsement and his remarks about national unity.
