A 79-year-old man of Masaiti, Copperbelt, has died from the injuries he sustained in January when his 50-year-old wife poured hot water on his private parts after picking up a fight over land.

The wife, Innes Kunda, was arrested and charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm after her husband, John Mumba, sustained severe burns on his private parts, thighs and back.

She was arrested alongside her friend, Rose Kunda, 58, as her husband battled for life in hospital.

However, with his death, the offence may change depending on what the post-mortem reveals Zambia Daily Mail
