PHIRI ACCUSES MITI OF HAVING S3X WITH HIS WIFE AND LEAVING FRESH SPÉRMS ON HIS BED….
A 41-year-old man identified as Edwin Miti from Kaleya Small Holders in Mazabuka has appeared in the District Local Court, accused of sleeping with someone’s wife.
Byta FM Zambia Court Beat Journalist reports that the husband to the woman, Laundani Phiri, 24, found fresh semen on his matrimonial bed, with the wife, Lweendo Mujala, 21, who he married in September, 2023, found standing outside with the accused.
Facts before court are that when Phiri entered his house, the bedsheets were wet and stained with suspected semen, including a cloth the couple uses to clean themselves after conjugal copulation.
The Court heard that when the man asked his wife what had transpired, she retorted by stating that she could not sleep with a person she regarded an in-law.
It was narrated that on different occasions, Miti would visit the couple and on another day, he went out to drink beer with Phiri and only came back around 21:00 hours.
Miti is said to have asked for Phiri’s wife so he could greet her, with the husband proceeding to bed, but when he woke up around 03:00, he could not find his spouse, hence going back to sleep.
Around 05:00 hours, Phiri head a knock on the door from Miti, who asked him to go with him to his house to collect his wife, which he refused.
In his defense before Court, Miti narrated that Lweendo knocked on his door on 8th March around 07:00 hours, asking him where he had been with her husband, claiming that she had been chased from her home by Phiri.
And in her narration to the Court, Lweendo said Miti insisted on her sleeping in his bedroom, which she refused but he latter forced her to the room and had carnal knowledge of her.
Presiding Local Court Magistrate, Reagent Zandu, adjourned the matter to 15th May, 2024, pending Lweendo’s sister to give a witness statement.
