A Lusaka businessman who was beaten by his mother-in law and wife when he took court summons to his spouse has sued for assault.

Evans Mwansakila, 46, of Zani Muone Township, has sued his wife, Penelope Munkanta, 42, for alleged assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The alleged beating happened on October 31, 2022 and the case is now before Lusaka Magistrate’s Court for trial.

It is alleged that on the material day, Mr Mwansakila, who is reported to be on separation with the wife, took court summons to Ms Munkanta.
